  1. 47 years ago, one of the most surreal and scariest albums ever came out on the Dawn label. I was only 23 years old in when I first heard Comus’ music on a progressive rock podcast, it just took me by surprise hearing the song Diana for the first time and I bought the album straight away. I wouldn’t say that my life changed, but it certainly took me to a whole new level discovering.
  2. As with "Diana," there's something morbidly, medievally British about this, and Comus manage to evoke the type of darkness and violence that must have been the reality of those days but hasn't been passed down with the cheery tales of Robin Hood etc. "Drip Drip" picks up where "Diana" left off, offering a portrait of the psyche of a killer/5(26).
  3. Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the release of a new re-mastered and expanded edition of the legendary album First Utterance by COMUS. Released in February on Pye Records’ progressive rock label Dawn, First Utterance was a darkly stunning masterpiece by COMUS, a group who arguably defy being classified in any genre.
  4. I feel happy when I see 74 reviews just here in the RYM’s page; this has been too long a forgotten Masterpiece; when I first searched the internet 5 years ago for Comus, all I could find was a nice page with some photos and a short biography and maybe a couple of references to the band; compare that to the hits you get today or the hundreds of cover pictures in the meantime a vinyl 4/5().
